Newsletter #12 - 16 May, 2004

Hi there,

As you are aware, Jo and I came to Australia for my brother Tim's wedding on the 8th of May. (It was beautiful, with great weather and a lot of fun. I'll tell you the story of the buck's night cowboy on Super 12 TV later!)

Though we were due to leave Sydney last Thursday, the 13th, Joanna has been suffering from a middle ear infection which, if we were to fly, could risk her ear drum exploding. So we have postponed our flights one week.

Please pray for a speedy recovery for her, so that we can return to Cairo asap. Please also pray that there won't be any complications with our travel insurance to cover the extra costs incurred in postponing our flights.

Unfortunately the extra week has not meant we are able to catch up with more people, rather it will be spent ensuring Jo recovers as quickly as possible.

It has been fantastic to catch up with family and friends during our short return to Sydney and in particular to meet many people who have shown such interest in what we're doing. In particular, the many who we have just met, but who have been praying for us nonetheless is a great encouragement to both of us.
